Where sensitive information is concerned, Hotel D'North Star takes strict precautions regarding access and usage. Generally, sensitive information will not be used or disclosed for any purpose other than that for which it was collected, unless you provide consent.

If we need to disclose sensitive information to third parties (e.g., medical services or security contractors), we will seek your consent, except where such disclosure is required by law or requested by police authorities.

3. Consequences of Not Providing Personal Information

If you do not provide us with Personal Information that we consider essential (such as valid identification upon check-in), we regret that we may have no choice but to decline your reservation.

We also reserve the right to request identification from visitors claiming to visit guests at our property. We reserve the right to remove or exclude any person who is unable or unwilling to provide identification to show they are registered or authorized to be on the premises.

4. Anonymity

If you wish to stay with us on an anonymous basis, we may be able to accommodate your request, though we do not guarantee it. If we accept an anonymous stay:

  • You will not be able to make a booking in advance.

  • You must pay for accommodation in full at the time of check-in.

  • You must leave a cash security bond (refunded upon departure, provided the room is in order and all services are paid for).

5. Primary Purpose of Collecting Information

We collect information for essential purposes, including:

  • Security and Billing: To identify you, ensure we are paid for services, and contact you during your stay (e.g., transferring calls, notifying you of visitors).

  • Guest Experience: To meet or exceed your expectations. For example, knowing your room preferences allows us to allocate the best possible room for you.

  • Comfort and Safety: Information regarding disabilities or health conditions allows our staff to select appropriate rooms and assists emergency services in the event of an emergency.

6. Secondary Purpose of Collecting Information

We may use your Personal Information to update you on news, events, and special promotions at Hotel D'North Star. This is usually done via email. You may opt-out of these communications at any time.

7. Disclosure of Information

We may share General Information (anonymous) with partners or travel agencies. However, we will not share your Personal Information with third parties outside of Hotel D'North Star and government agencies, except as stated in this policy.
